The following details have been gleaned from the extensive Wagoneer World literature collection, which includes original dealer brochures, news articles, books, first-hand research through Jeep and the Jeep history archives, interviews with current and former Jeep employees, and other official sources. While we can't guarantee the accuracy of all details 100%, this information represents what we believe to be a complete and comprehensive compilation. - VIN number and production verifications confirm rather than the widely referenced 1,560 number of 91's the actual number of model year 1991's off the assembly line is 4,253 (still the lowest count for a model year of Grand Wagoneer production).

- Notes: 1) Jeep introduces the Wagoneer Limited model -- described as a huge success, the introduction of the Limited positioned the Wagoneer line as upscale vs. competing vehicles from Ford and Chevy. 2) The Limited included all the standard features on Wagoneers such as Quadra-Trac, power steering, disc brakes, automatic transmission and carpeting. The Limited also added, as standard features, real leather front bucket seats, cruise control, air conditioning, tinted glass, power tailgate window, AM/FM/CB radio, roof rack, leather-wrapped steering wheel, forged aluminum wheels with a 4-barrel, 401-V8 as an option over the standard 2-barrel, 360-V8.
